What Are You Watching?
Apparently… Bridgerton
There’s a question that comes up in general conversation most days: “What are you watching on TV?” The socially acceptable answers usually involve something a true crime on netflix or ITV drama, or at least current. What it almost never involves (for me) is Grand Designs or Relocation, Relocation.
Hard to believe, I know — but sometimes we like to give our minds a little holiday from property.
To keep up with everyone in the office, I’ve finally started Bridgerton. On the surface, it ticks all the boxes: it’s popular, highly discussable, and people have opinions. Beneath that? Well… it turns out it’s also a sneaky dream for anyone who appreciates grand houses. Technically, it’s not a property programme. No one’s knocking through walls or arguing over budgets. But there are sweeping staircases, elegant façades, manicured gardens, and enough period architecture to make you pause the screen “just for a second”.
So while I can now nod along in office conversations about scandal, romance, and dramatic glances across ballrooms, I’m also quietly admiring the buildings in the background.
Old habits die hard.Maybe that’s the perfect compromise — something escapist, a little ridiculous, culturally relevant… and still packed with beautiful homes to admire. Not property TV, exactly. But close enough to feel familiar
It’s a conversation that starts with the team but often extends to our clients too. Because whether you’re buying, selling, letting, or just checking in, everyone has something they’re watching at the moment.
